Reduce Home Carbon Use

Our Climate Forum Action Team is focused on finding ways to help Congress Park neighbors lower their carbon footprint by making their homes more energy efficient. In the past, the CPN Green Team has hosted workshops on home energy savings and webinars on Solar options. Now our Action Team is building on these efforts with ideas and events in the plans for the next 12-18 months, including helping neighbors:

  • Talk with solar vendors at a neighborhood Solar Fair to see if solar is an option for you and what it will cost AND save!
  • Connect with nearby energy-efficient homeowners to hear what they did and see how their changes saved them money and reduced their carbon usage.
  • Learn about available Excel rebates and other factors to consider as you consider investing in energy-efficiency improvements for your home.
  • Learn about winterization approaches/techniques Congress Park neighbors have implemented to save energy.
