Survey notes and information: This survey took place for South City Park Neighbors from January 8 until Feb. 1, 2011.  South City Park Neighbors were notified of the survey and its web link by their newsletter which is sent to 1200 households comprising their total neighborhood area . Those persons without web access were given a paper copy. The total respondents from SCP were 136.
Congress Park Neighbors Inc. sent a postcard  to all available addresses within the boundaries of  York to Colorado Blvd and E. Colfax Ave to 13th Ave inviting them to participate.  The number of  post cards sent were 1056 and 120 people responded.  The CPN Survey was opened on Feb 23 and closed March 12, 2011.
The majority (65%) of CPN residents living in the surveyed area report parking is a problem for themselves and/or their guests.  Daytime weekend parking is particularly more problematic than weekend parking after 6 p.m., regardless of type of residence (single family home, condo, apt. etc).
Two-thirds of CPN residents cannot find parking during Bluebird concerts or other concerts along Colfax.  Over half report having difficulty finding day-time parking during special events like City Park Jazz.  
Just about one quarter of CPN residents currently have some parking restrictions on their block.  When asked to select from a list of eight parking solution options, none appear to meet the needs of CPN residents.
85% of residents in SCPNA could not find parking for themselves or their guests during special events in City Park.  55% of the residents have some restrictions - RPP, 2-hour, and 1-hour and  76% wanted RPP only during events
