The Capitol Heights Faith Communities and the Congress Park Green Team are partnering to host a free Earth Day event for all ages. The event will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Capitol Heights Faith Communities on 1100 Fillmore Street. The event begins at 2 pm.
The festival will feature art, music and hands-on activities from over a dozen exhibitors. At the booths, learn about renewable energy, composting, recycling, pollinators, community gardens, and climate action from Congress Park community organizations and experts. The day will also include presentations, musical performances and a community art project.
To volunteer for the event or to inquire about sharing an informative activity as an exhibitor, or as a performer or artist, please contact Joan Gregerson at sustainability@congressparkneighbors.org or Larry Grimm at capheightspres@gmail.com. The final schedule and more details will be posted here.
