  1. I happened across the History of Congress Park Neighborhood. Thank you very much for having it on your website. I attended Stevens School from 1953-1959. I went to many movies at the Aladdin Theater just down Race Street where we lived. I remember well the Bluebird Theater and the Ogden Theater. I too remember the cold waters of the pool at Congress Park, got a “piggy pain” from waters there.

Just wanted to say hi over the years to yall. I now live in Fullerton, California.

  2. Thanks to all of the well versed and knowledgable CPN board members! The 5,000 households in Congress Park have no idea how many hours a year they spend going to various neighborhood and city meetings to represent and secure our neighborhood’s quality of living. I am one of the households that is grateful to them as exhibited at the latest Board meeing on Wednesday, April 18. Round of applause and many thanks to the Board Members!

  3. PLEASE give us more than ONE DAY NOTICE of tomorrow’s planning/zoning meeting – this is an exclusionary tactic and is causing extreme problems for the majority of neighbors and residents who want to attend. we don’t even have time to review the mountain of new documents you issued! PLEASE GIVE US 30 DAYS NOTICE of these critical zoning and planning meetings which affect our neighborhood for years to come. we need a voice, and this organization has a responsibility to help us voice our opinions. the last meeting’s video coverage on youtube was appalling and we couldn’t hear or understand what was being said or who was saying it. congress park neighbors association needs to do a lot better!

    • This meeting was announced several weeks ago Aug 29 only the location was changed. The documents were created only hours before the notice of location change and were sent out as a courtesy.
