Sidewalk Repair Town Hall Meeting Saturday, August 11
Sidewalk Repair Town Hall – Saturday, August 11
Starting in mid-August, Denver Public Works is implementing a new program to address sidewalks, citywide, that are damaged, uneven, and sloping excessively, to ensure our City has a well-maintained sidewalk network and better conditions for traveling.
Per city ordinance, property owners are responsible for maintaining the sidewalks adjacent to their properties. The Neighborhood Sidewalk Repair program is designed to systematically notify property owners of hazardous sidewalk conditions that need to be addressed, while providing helpful information about repair methods and financial assistance to homeowners who qualify.
The Neighborhood Sidewalk Repair Program is starting inspections in Section 1, an area roughly bounded by Broadway, 20th Avenue, Downing Street, and Alameda Avenue. Property owners in this area are being invited to attend a public meeting to learn more about the program.
The Sidewalk Repair Public Town Hall meeting will be held on Saturday, August 11 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Denver Botanic Gardens (1007 York Street) in Mitchell Hall. Free parking is available in the parking structure.
Come learn about the program, what defines a hazardous sidewalk, less expensive repair methods, and qualifications for extended repayment assistance and affordability discounts.
