In an effort to promote social distancing, Denver Parks and Recreation and design team canceled the last public meeting regarding Congress Park Pool. A short 4-minute video was produced to inform the community on the how their input was integrated in to the design and timeline. Watch the video here. Parks and Recs believe that the design keeps much of the functions that community members wanted – 50 meter lanes, larger child’s area, while keeping much of the preservation of the character of the pool.

The timeline is also covered in the video. With the design process ending soon, DPR expects to break ground on the pool in early 2021. Construction is expected to be complete by early 2022. The decision to open has not been made and outdoor pools will remain closed until further notice.
